BOARD AND MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS΄MEETINGS
- Board meetings are working meetings of elected representatives of associations taking place in the period between member conferences.
- Member associations΄ meetings (so called member conferences) are regular working meetings of member associations taking place monthly (except for the period of the school summer holidays), where the organizational progress of the association is discussed, the current problems of the educational reform are being solved or the coordination and unification of common practices, strategies and solutions supporting and defending new changes to the educational system are being treated.
EXPERT TASK FORCES
- Since January 2006 there have been three expert task forces working in the frames of PCEO, their aim being intensifying and improving the effects of the cooperation between individual representatives of PCEO΄s member associations in the area of key issues.
- The expert task forces are: 1) the evaluation task force, 2) the curricular task force and 3) the task force for further education.
ROUND TABLES
- Public discussion meetings organized by PCEO and the CEP (Center of Educational Policies) of the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles΄University.
- Taking place every third Thursday in the month (except for the period of school summer holidays) in the aula of Vodičkova Elementary School in Prague 1, free of admission fee, no registration in advance is necessary and they take 2–3 hours. The capacity of the aula is limited.
- The issues selected are related to current problems in the area of education and the educational system.
- The outputs of the meeting are published on the PCEO΄s website and the website of the Učitelské Listy magazine.
- The invitations to the meeting are being sent by post and e-mail.
OPEN CONFERENCE
- An annual meeting of not only individual member associations of the PCEO, but also representatives of the wide educational and expert public, state administration or other non-profit associations active in the area of education and schooling.
- The aim of the conference is to deepen the contacts and cooperation of individual non-profit organizations active in the area of education and schooling and to improve the communication between the organizations mentioned above and civil officers to an equal extent.
- The form of the meeting is modified every year, whereas the meeting includes a hindsight of the association΄s records or a presentation of current standpoints.
- There are outputs processed from the discussions being published on the PCEO΄s website afterwards, submitted to the media and used by the PCEO for a further support to the reform.
